Eynsham is a vibrant bustling village a stone’s throw from the river Thames, with The Red Lion taking pride of place in the centre of the marketplace.
Becky and family offer a traditional pub atmosphere with a strong community spirit. We strive to make locals and visitors feel welcome including families and 4 legged friends!
Original fireplaces, a large back garden and sunny front seating where people love to watch the world go by! We also have a function room available for hire of parties, meeting, events and community needs.
We are a proper pub with well-kept local beer, a comprehensive selection of draught, wine and spirits and a good selection of non-alcoholic alternatives. We focus on traditional pub food as well as a small plates menu to allow unpretentious relaxed dining. We serve traditional Sunday roasts and host regular food events. We pride ourselves on offering something for everyone including plentiful plant based and vegetarian dishes, gluten free options and a varied children’s menu. All our food is cooked from fresh daily and can be adapted to suit – just ask!
Although we have a carpark the pub is a situated on the well-served bus service between Oxford and Witney (Stagecoach S1) running frequently through the day and late into the night. With our lively atmosphere, late weekend licence, regular live music and events there is always something happening here for locals and visitors alike!
